Virtual Beauty is a face tracing technology which gives users a true-to-life virtual makeup try-on experience in real-time. The brand new concept is based on the power of artificial intelligence that precisely replicates the real experience of applying desired products.
Virtual Beauty wants their users to tailor the best option according to their own preferences and make them feel good about themselves. Whoever and wherever they are.

CHALLENGE
We were approached by US tech startup company, Algoface, to create a whole new branding for an innovative project connecting the world of beauty and technology that has not been created ever before.
The major challenge consisted in connecting the two very distinctive worlds in a perfect visual balance. We aimed to visually and contextually highlight the attributes of both components in the best possible way.
SOLUTION
We focused on embracing the uniqueness and individuality of any user around the world and we designed a logo that emphasizes the power of individual beauty. Visual identity connects significant letters BU (=Be You) to accent the importance of being yourself.
The startup tech software was in a need of branding to become attractive for medium to large beauty brands and the decision makers within those, mainly comprised of women. Those who understand not only the technology benefits the Virtual Beauty technology brings to their business but also the importance of branding itself. When creating the visual identity we kept that in mind
Virtual Beauty’s visual style needs to speak to them as well as to the end customers, who seek better experience when shopping for beauty products online.
The considerable benefit Virtual Beauty brings to the companies is significant cost reduction from physical product testing in their stores. The expenses from testing are principally made by return costs from the customer’s mismatch between the product color seen on product photography versus the real life experience of wearing them. Despite the pandemic situation this market need appeared to be a long-term matter, which Virtual Beauty deals with as a complex solution.

The startup tech software is a unique connection between the world of beauty and technology that creates a big turn on the global market. The AI itself is an advanced mechanism that undertakes to respect privacy, security and inclusivity and with the precise tracing system is able to suit any facial features or skin color.
The concept is focused on the individuality of the users. We want to encourage them to embrace their beauty and uniqueness in a premium way - with Virtual Beauty.
LOGO DESIGN
The logo has been created to reflect the meaning of the tech startup in a very clear & simple way with significantly emphasized letters BU (=Be You), the principal base of the concept. That is complemented by a visible spark that signifies the meaning of U SHINE and co-creates the whole message we want to pass on to the users.

Virtual Beauty aims to improve the customer’s experience while shopping for beauty products. We understand what these products mean to users - it’s a way for them to feel good about themselves, to emphasize what they love about themselves and to let their natural beauty shine through.
The essential message Virtual Beauty’s visual language communicates is simply - BE YOU. Embrace who you really are, no matter who that is. Virtual Beauty is a platform that does not exclude anybody and with modern technologies improves the daily lives of people around the world
THE BRAND ELEMENTS
As the startup software is a symbol of beauty & technology fusion, we reflected the unique merger in a visually exceptional way as well. Red glow represents the overlap between the digital & real world and complements the logo and other elements. The distinctive spark stands for the message U SHINE and also for the symbol of AR.
